As Mitel partners we were invited to the Mitel Roadshow in London last week where this latest product development was showcased.

Mitel is one of the most powerful and robust business telephony solutions on the market. We’ve implemented the Mitel MiVoice Office 250 phone system to the majority of our SME clients who reap the benefits of the additional functionality it offers.

What is the Mitel MiVoice Office Application Suite 5.0?

The newly released Mitel MiVoice Office Application Suite 5.0 is a new platform that powers the Mitel Phone Manager app. This new release enables SMEs to benefit from useful management and analysis tools that only larger business setups can usually afford.


The Mitel MiVoice Office Application Suite 5.0 has two new apps called the Mitel MiVoice Office Call Reporter and the MiVoice Office Call Recorder plus lots of new features which combine Phone Manager and MiContact Centre Campaign Manager.

What’s changed in Phone Manager?

The look and feel of Phone manager has certainly improved. The main PBX functions like voicemail call forwarding and contacts are easily accessed at the top of the window pane and the mobile app (available on Android and iOS) is really easy to setup and use. There is a really useful new 20 party call conferencing feature that’s been added negating the need to use solutions such as Pow Wow Now, Go to Meeting etc. MiVoice Phone Manager is CRM enabled which allows it to integrate with many leading platforms like Dynamics 365 and SalesForce.

What’s the MiContact Centre Campaign Manager?

Campaign Manager allows admins to create contact records, set strategies and assign and configure calls so users can simply work though a call schedule.

What’s new in MiVoice Office Call recorder app?

The new app is available with two license types. The small business edition license which allows up to 8 calls to be recorded concurrently with no additional hardware. The second license which allows IP/SIP extension recording for up to 250 users. Mitel have made listening to calls really easy as you can now do this from within the dedicated Call Recording interface or from Phone Managers call history, which you couldn’t do previously.

What’s new with the MiVoice Office Call Reporter app?

Within this app you can view all historic inbound and outbound call logs including call analytics and reports can easily be generated, you can also schedule calls. There are three levels of reporting now offered however you need one license for each extension you run, so if you have 10 extensions you’ll need to buy 10 licenses.

To accommodate the needs of the SME market further the MiVoice Office Suite 5.0 is available to license in modular form, so if you do not need access to all these features mentioned above you can purchase licenses to run the Phone Manager only then upgrade your license to include the other features as and when you need them.
