Business Applications Sales Specialist

The Role

This role requires a skilled Business Applications Sales Specialist to acquire and manage new client relationships with the Dynamics 365 suite of products (specifically Customer Engagement) and Power platform. Business Central is an area that is also becoming a key focus but is a nice to have at the moment. The ideal candidate must have experience in B2B sales. 

You will be responsible for developing relationships with our clients, negotiating contracts and closing deals. We will rely on you to partner with our marketing department to conduct market research and develop strategic market penetration initiatives.  

Primary duties include identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborating with client executives on business strategy to determine objectives, evaluating their current business performance and maximizing business reach and potential with the view to meeting and exceeding assigned targets. 

Main Duties

  • Oversee the sales process to attract new clients  
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business and equipment needs 
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships 
  • Partner with the delivery teams to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients 
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders 
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed on-time and as agreed 
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news 
  • An ethical approach in positioning solutions with customers 
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, webinar content and potential go-to-market messaging

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field 
  • Must have 4+ years experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE) and Power platform sales 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software 
  • Must have experience of the Dynamics 365 industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert in the financial and professional services verticals 
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose appropriate solutions for clients 
  • Must be able to appropriately position value to different roles within the client’s business 
  • Experience with Business Central is a nice to have.
