Head of Sales

Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: London/Tunbridge Wells with regular client visits
Infinity Group are recruiting for a Head of Sales who will work closely with the Managing Director and will formulate and execute a sales strategy to maximise business growth. This role works in partnership with Marketing, Pre-sales, and Service Delivery teams therefore cross-company engagement and orchestration is essential. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for New Business, Account Management and Marketing.  The candidate will be a high impact individual capable of driving outstanding business results and first-class employee development.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Continue to hire and build out the sales team and ensure that new members are onboarded effectively
  • Ensure that new and existing team members are well-trained
  • Build a Learn It All culture within the team where people are continuously striving to improve themselves and applying the principles of Growth Mindset and Grit
  • Establish a regular cadence with the team to support them in meeting their objectives and their development goals
  • Coach the sales team members to optimal performance.
  • Be an advocate and coach to help the team to apply the Challenger Sale approach as they seek to become trusted advisors to their customers.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide regular and accurate business forecasts to senior management
  • Ensure that the team uses tools and systems to the required standard
  • Work with partners to extend reach
  • Accelerate customer satisfaction

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 5 years of proven, successful sales management experience in IT services delivered to mid-market customers
  • Proven, successful sales management experience in IT services delivered to mid-market customers
  • Proven ability to create high performing teams and lead them to success
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills

Desirable Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of selling or managing teams that sell solutions based around Microsoft technologies to business customers
  • Trained in Challenger Sales methodology

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Capable of successfully managing significant client escalations and issues
