Services: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations

Today, TGI Friday’s is a global phenomenon with worldwide franchise operations. The brand is nowhere more popular than in the UK, which has 76 locations with plans to open eight more restaurants each year. To support its rapid growth, the UK franchise needed a more scalable, flexible platform for mission-critical business processes that ran the gamut from finance and point-of-sale to inventory management and human resources.

TGI Friday’s UK decided to become an early adopter of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations and worked closely with Microsoft to get the solution in place.  In the first phase of its transformation, the franchise consolidated its financial processes with Dynamics 365, taking advantage of features such as Fixed Assets, Sales Ledger, and Logistics.

Christian Redford-Smith TGI’s Finance Planning & Analysis Manager said “We’re running 30 different applications in the UK and roughly half of those have to talk with the finance program to post invoices, submit purchase orders, get inventory stock-levels, and so forth. We had to look at solutions that were going to be flexible and capable of integrating with these existing systems. Dynamics 365 enables that integration, and it’s something we can build on.”
