Our 2018 Charity of the Year

4th Apr 2018 | 2 min read

Infinity Group, one of Kent’s largest IT & Telecoms Support Providers is delighted to announce Heart of Kent Hospice as its chosen charity of the year for 2018.
Heart of Kent Hospice based in Aylesford, Kent, is an independent charity that provides outstanding care to people with terminal illnesses. It is possible that you know someone who has benefitted from the care they provide, as last year it supported over 1300 patients and their families.
“Heart of Kent Hospice has been providing an outstanding service for the people of Kent for the past 26 years. Myself and Co-Director Phil Jones chose Heart of Kent Hospice as our charity for 2018 as we recognise how financially challenging it is to run a hospice of that scale.  Having both been shown around the hospice and speaking to the patients and their families, we could see how our fundraising efforts would help to make a real difference to people’s lives and well-being during a very challenging time. We look forward to raising as much money as possible for them this year,”  Rob Young Joint Managing Director Infinity Group.
Over the years, Infinity Group has helped to raise over £30,000 for local charities and not for profit organisations as part of their social responsibility strategy. To achieve this they have organised, sponsored and taken part in fundraising events and made charitable donations. This year they will be participating in several fundraising events for Heart of Kent Hospice including the Dragon Boat Race, corporate Go Karting at Buckmore Park as well as supplying volunteer support for other Hospice events.
“We are thrilled that Infinity Group has chosen to support us this year. As an independent charity we rely on the generosity of our individual and business community to raise £4 out of every £5 we spend on patient care. Both the financial and volunteer support that Infinity Group offers over the coming year will help to make a tremendous difference to our patients and their families.”  Claire Whybrew Corporate Partnerships Manager – Heart of Kent Hospice.
