Infinity Group support Young Enterprise and Local School

8th Aug 2017 | 2 min read

On the 10th July 2017, our Telecoms Account Director –  Jason Williams supported a fantastic charity called Young Enterprise who assist young people to try and develop their personal and business skills. Young Enterprises objective is to empower young people to leave school with the ability to have a successful career path.

Jason volunteered to be a part of the programme they were holding at Hillview School for Girls based in Tonbridge, Kent called Launch Pad. Jason had a group of Year 9 students that he held a workshop with – he started by speaking to the students about what employers look for in candidates and how attributes such as team work, initiative and resilience are key characteristics that are essential in business. The group of students were then asked by Jason to design and pitch a product to a panel – in which Jason sat on.

Here you can see a brief video about what Young Enterprise does to help young people kick start a successful career.

Jason enjoyed being part of the day and hopes that it has given the students a chance to think about their futures, build on the skill set they already have and obtain new ones.
