We just wanted to let all Mac users know about the implications the recent iOS upgrade will have on PPTP connections for VPN. This is a widespread problem and not exclusive to us.
If you are considering upgrading to iOS 10 and Mac OS Sierra please be aware that you will not be able to connect to your PPTP VPN Server, as once the upgrade takes place all connections will be removed.
Even though the PPTP protocol is still available on iOS 9 and earlier or OS X El Capitan and earlier, we recommend upgrading your infrastructure to support more secure VPN technologies such as IPSEC and IKE v2.
If you would like to find out about the other VPN protocols for user-based authentication that are compatible with this latest iOS version please get in touch.
